I don't write a lot of reviews for Itunes, but felt that I had to for this movie. I think it is outstanding, it catches you from the opening score and it keeps you there. The music is great and powerful, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams & Zendaya give amazing performances. This movie captured me and gave me that feel good feeling. I highly recommend this for the family, for date night, or anytime. This is an outstanding movie.

DONT LISTEN TO THE DUMB ROTTEN TOMAMTOES REVIEW! SO GOOD THE GREATEST SHOWMAN IS MY LIFE ZAC EFRON IS IN IT!!! Movie Review: Overall Grade: A+ Family Friendly? There is a lot of drinking and alcohol consumption. There is a curse word in 2 songs. That is it, no nudity or anything else bad. Review: P. T. Barnum lives in poverty and after his father dies, is even poorer. But he befriends and soon falls in love with the richest man’s daughter. Despised by Charity’s parents, he eventually earns money, finds a small place and proposes to his love. They have kids and are very poor, but they get by until PT loses his job. “This is not the life I promised you,” he tells his wife Charity. So he sets out in his attempts to create the greatest show. Further summary and spoilers at the bottom. Current Trailers: 8 Oceans is about female thieves. Not a great trailer for little kids to see. Love, Simon is about a gay guy coming out. If you aren’t comfortable with your kids seeing those trailers, arrive a little late! Finished Summary: SPOILER ALERT! Read at your own risk! 🛑🛑🛑🛑 Eventually the success starts to get to PTs head. He hires Jenny Lind, an opera singer who he is infatuated with and soon the show makes it big time. He buys the biggest house on the block and begins to belittle his performers. Zac Efron, who he hires, (well he played who he hires) soon likes a performer and is continually rejected by her. PT goes on tour with Jenny, leaving home and his wife. There are many people who hate his show, and they begin to hurt the performers still in NYC. Meanwhile, Jenny tries to seduce PT but he refuses and she is offended. She quits the show and kisses him goodbye. On the lips. In front of a large crowd. Back in NYC a fire is started and the theater burns down. PT is back and he saves Zac but not the whole arena. He goes home and learns he is being evicted and his wife learns of his kiss with Jenny and leaves him. Depressed he turns to drinking in the bar . Meanwhile Zac is in the hospital. His performers find him in the bar and they tell him how much it meant to them. He gets inspired to restart the show. Zac gets better and he and his love kiss. They can’t rebuild the theater so they use a circus tent and the show goes on. PT has a good performance and then let’s Zac take over so he can see his kids grow up. The end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion it's only a matter of time before this movie becomes a sellout Broadway musical. Wasn't sure what to expect when I rented this movie, but I was very, very impressed. The music was moving, energetic, and uplifting, and every singer was incredibly talented and nearly flawless - and that comes from a perfectionist musician. The choreography was amazingly energetic and totally on point, some of the best I've ever seen. Of course the plot didn't have much meat to it, but hey, it's a musical, I can live with that if the music was that good. Will definitely recommend this to all music/dance enthusiasts.

This movie is too good, with it's well coreographed numbers, to it's actors, to it's lyrics. This movie is all around fantastic.

Take it from a longtime movie fan and film maker myself, this should have been at least nominated for best picture if not won, and Hugh should of been nominated and won for best leading actor, by far! Its not far fetched to think that Zac Efron would of gotten an Oscar nod for supporting actor aswell. They were phenomenal acting wise, plus they nailed their choreography and really sung their songs... I mean really Academy?? Amazing movie 10/10 if you really have a appreciate for what it takes to make a movie, the talent involved, and just all around great entertaining without the cliche sad ending to ruin the fun. A faster moving La La Land with a happy meaningful ending. What else do you want from a movie?
