This movie is a masterpiece. A job well done by all of the actors. A time period and true story piece that is done so well. An empowering story of a women trying to keep a company afloat amidst all the chaos.

  • Very well-done historical event movie 👍

First, I gotta say that any movie that starts out with The Creedence as the opening song of the soundtrack is fabulous, as well as setting the perfect tone for this film’s timeframe. Having said that, this movie is well-directed & well-acted by an outstanding cast. More importantly, this movie accurately portrays what occurred during this time & does not sugarcoat the history of the events, clearly showing that both Democrat & Republican administrations were involved in the beginning & the escalation of the war. I’m old enough to remember the subject matter & watched the tragedy of the Vietnam War being shown on out black & white TV. The publishing of the Pentagon Papers was a huge deal, for our young men in the military, for our nation & for the freedom of the press. All in all, this is a fine film depicting a very important part of America’s history 👍👍👍
  • Brilliant film!

Excellent cast, great acting and a thoroughly enjoyable film. Moments of cheering out loud occurred in the theatre! Meryl Streep was as excellent as she always is.
  • Just OK

The overriding thought I had while watching this movie was how enraging it was to be lied to by our government and kept in the dark about the war in Vietnam. I was in college during this period of time and the movie brought back all those feelings. In that regard, the movie was good but I’d never watch it more than once. That being said, I still didn’t think the movie was all that good. Tom Hanks played his usual “Tom Hanks” role - earnest, loud, funny. (Jason Robards killed in this role in “All the President’s Men”.) Meryl Streep either played Kay Graham to a T if Graham was a totally uninteresting character or Streep failed miserably to bring Kay Graham to life. Her performance could have been played by an extra on the set for all the depth it had. The auxiliary characters were props. Perhaps it’s not that easy to make a movie like this. In my opinion Spielberg didn’t live up to his usual reputation.

Great story. Enjoyed the actors and their portrayal of the paper’s struggle to publish.
